3 Bizarre Questions That Will Help You Find Your Purpose in Life

3 Bizarre Questions That Will Help You Find Your Purpose in Life

Most individuals have no idea about what they want to do in their lives.  Even after they finish school and find a job, their career aspirations change rapidly. If you do not know what to do either, you are not alone.

The problem of finding purpose in life is born out of necessity as each individual believes they are here for a higher purpose.  That being said here are 3 bizarre questions that will help you figure out your purpose in life while adding new meaning to it at the same time.

1.      How do you Plan to Save the World?

If you have been seeing the news lately, you will come to realize the world has a lot of problems of its own. It is safe to say the world is going to end pretty soon, well maybe not. According to the latest findings it has been noted that in order to live a healthier and happier life, you will need to hold on to greater morals and values.

There is more to the world than your own needs and desires so pick any problem at all and find ways to help save the world. As absurd as it may seem, it will give you a purpose. You will eventually learn to look at the bigger picture and feel what others may be feeling.  However, since you are no Superman, you will need all the help you can get. Even though it won’t be much, you will be making a difference that is vital for your fulfillment and happiness.

2.      If You Were Going to Die Next Year, What Would You Do and How Would You Like to Be Remembered?

Nobody likes to think about death, especially their own. Instead of freaking out, you have to understand that thinking about your own death offers a lot of advantages at the same time. The primary benefit of living as if you were against the clock is that you will only focus on what is important. Additionally, you will keep away from distractions too. This question has changed the way a lot of people think about their lives and help them re-evaluate their priorities accordingly.

How would you like to be remembered? What type of a legacy do you want to leave behind? These questions need to be answered in order to find some sense of direction. If you do not know what your values are and what is important to you, then you are living by other people’s ideals. Not only does this lead to misery, but it will be difficult for you to maintain your relationships.

3.      What Are the Best Ways of Embarrassing Yourself?

Before you become better at something, you will need to suck at it. The only way to perfection is by learning from your mistakes. This often leads to embarrassing situations, which most individuals tend to avoid. However, what these people fail to realize is that by avoiding anything that could embarrass them, they lose the opportunity to do anything important at all. This does not necessarily mean you should embarrass yourself at whatever you are doing. The idea here is to do those things you have always wanted to do instead of holding back. Even though you may have plenty of reasons of doing so, they are most probably based on what others will think.

You have to understand that achieving greatness is by its nature unconventional and unique.  The only way you will find purpose is by going against the herd mentality you have grown accustomed to.

Keeping the aforementioned factors in mind, it is safe to say the only way you will ever find your true purpose in life is by becoming bigger than yourself. Instead of waiting for a revelation, you will have to think beyond your own needs and desires for your true calling.
